Fun Finds for the 18" Dolls
Four of my 'girls' showing off their new things that I found on January 3rd, 2014. Ayame, Abbey, and Dee are modeling with some trashcans, and Caili is showing you the storage bins and book. I
found these at a Dollar Tree store. |
Caili is showing off the things I found in Target's dollar section on January 4th, 2014. A tape measure, ribbons,
a strawberry growing kit, and a Lisa Frank stationery set. All were $1, except the Lisa Frank stationery, which was $3. |

January 9th, 2014 -Went to the other Dollar Tree. This time my loot is a pink recycling bin, a purple book, and a sewing kit. The other thing I bought (but didn't get a picture of) was a big tri-fold piece of cardboard, which was meant for displaying school projects, but will end up being a backdrop for photographing dolls.

Today (Jan. 18, 2014) I received my very first order from Claires.com I now have two sets of 6 colors (12 strands per set). I plan on trimming one set to fit most of the longer haired dolls like Ayame and Serra, and the other set will be cut to fit the shorter haired dolls (Kit, Caili, etc...). The fake hair is nice and soft. :D

Jan. 23, 2014 -Went to Goodwill and Salvation Army. I actually found some things this time. Normally there really isn't anything I'm remotely interested in... Anyway, in Goodwill I found an adorable little Build-A-Bear bunny. It is the perfect size for the AGs! I think the little vase came from Goodwill too (I'm writing this post a couple weeks after acquiring these things...). At Salvation Army, I found a couple scarves, and some little spools of thread.

Feb. 6, 2014 -Walmart
My mom and I were looking around the makeup section (probably the first or second time in that section) and found this. Actually, there was this one and a regular Vaseline bottle (same containers, just different labels). I believe they were $1.87 each (plus tax...). |

Feb. 15, 2014
Goodwill: I got the dreamcatcher and the bowl for $0.49 each. Salvation Army: my mom got American Girl Kirsten's necklace (identical to the one my Kirsten is wearing in the above slideshow)! That is our very first American Girl brand find at a second hand store (or second, if you are counting total amount of finds -we found an AG Kit puzzle at Goodwill previously, but didn't buy it). Also, my dad got me a Disney Infinity with a couple extra figures! |
March 14, 2014 - Mail Call! :D
When I was looking around on eBay the other day, I came across an auction for a mini Aladdin book. The dimensions (as stated on eBay) are: 3.5" long by 3" tall. As the pictures show, the book is even illustrated! Another book for my doll's (future) bookshelf! :D |

April 4, 2014 - Dollar Tree again :D
I found these at Dollar Tree. Actually, they had several different puzzles, Princess, Dinsey Jr., and Marvel puzzles. Edit: sometime in December 2014, I found a Frozen puzzle and a Disney Fairies puzzle, so now I have 4 total. |
September 15, 2014
I found a shop on Etsy called Delish Beads. They have an amazing selection of fake foods (candies and sweets in particular). I got some gummy bears and some peppermint sticks. Later I also bought some peppermint rounds too. |
