2-23-2015 -Doll Bazaar Fabric Swap
One of the Facebook groups I'm a member of is Doll Bazaar. This month the admins decided to host a fabric swap. People would sign up, get a partner (two actually, one to send to and one to receive from), and then get the fabric mailed. Step two is make something for your dolls from the fabric. I got step one finished quickly, but step two took a while (life and other things got in the way repetitively). But, I finally (started and) finished it today. And I love the results. I used Liberty Jane Clothing's Peplum top pattern, and extended the peplum into a skirt. The pattern calls for a lining, and like the first time I made this pattern, I made it reversible. This time I also added a half inch to the waistband and back bodice, because the first time the back closed flush (this top was designed to be made with a zipper). With the extra half inch, it added enough extra to overlap.
Now for pictures!! :D

Aside from the dress turning out so well, I have another achievement to share. I finally figured out how to crochet more than a single row. I crocheted Kaya's necklace, bracelet, and belt. The belt is yarn and the jewelry are elastic. The 'buttons' on the back of the dress are actually wood beads with a clear seed bead on top. Under the buttons, and to our left an inch or two, are four snaps to close the dress.
