My Winter 2014 DW FDC Entry
This is my entry for The Doll Wardrobe's 2014 Winter Fashion Design Challenge.
A bit about the outfit:
My family isn't into the candy part (collecting or handing out) of halloween, but I like dressing up my dolls anyway.
For this challenge, I made my #11, named Shayna, a minion costume (sort of re-imagined for practical reasons).

Right before I learned what the theme would be for this challenge, I was planning on making either a Vanellope Von Schweetz outfit or a Minion outfit. At that point I didn't have all the things I'd need to do Vanellope's outfit, so I decided on a Minion.
Once again I made most of the accessories before attempting the outfit. I was originally going to make a hat instead of the goggles, but it kind of made itself, so to speak... I saw the pieces and had it together pretty quickly. The pillow squares I actually cut out while making a different project, but I liked how they cut out so well I decided to make a dolly pillow with them. The skirt and shirt were really easy to do, and I even found some yellow lace to dress up the shirt a bit. I think the hardest part of making this set was finishing the quilt (sewing the layers together), because I didn't really know what I was doing.
The outfit is complete! It was really windy today, but I managed to get some good pictures anyway. The indoor pictures are from a few days ago.
