8-1-13 ~Pretty Tank Top

Not done yet (it got too late and I'm getting tired. I want to be rested for the next part, since I'm not to good at sewing straight lines), but I've got the shirt mostly put together. I really like the fabric. It is nice and soft, and it's a pastel floral pattern.
Picture
Except for hemming the neckline, I hadn't actually started sewing it together here yet. I used pins to keep the shirt pieces and collar together. I also used pins to fashion the prototype glove, cuff, and headband. The "skirt" is a paper towel... I know she's just a doll, but still, modesty, ya know? Anyway, after the picture, I hemmed the sides of the shirt and the arm holes, so now I just have to hem the bottom and back, sew the collar on, and add some sort of closure (I'm not sure if I want to use velcro or snaps, and the only velcro we have is adhesive velcro :\) on the back. Then I want to finish the accessories (a pair of gloves, a pair of cuffs, and the headband). After the shirt is done, I want to make either a skirt or pants of some sort to go with it. I'll add more pictures after I finish it. later.

8-2-13 ~update

Not quite done yet, but I wanted to upload a couple more pics. I just have to hem the bottom and then add velcro, then the shirt will be done.
Picture
I hand-sewed the lace on, as I'm not comfortable
with my skills at controlling my sewing machine yet.
Picture
I can have the lace either off or on the shoulder. :)

8-3-13 ~Update

I decided against velcro, and went with snaps. I didn't want the velcro messing up the lace or shirt, and I wasn't sure how to sew it on without messing up the outside (as it is, the stitching on the hem of the shirt is a little crooked in some spots). The gloves are a little snug getting on, but were a little loose once on, so I added the white bias tape as a band, which snaps near the thumb on the inside of the hand. Now it's snug when on. I haven't done the headband, or the cuffs yet, and I still have to figure out whether I want a skirt or a pair of pants and what color, style, etc... they'll be.
Picture
The white triangle 'skirt' is a reversible, strapless bandanna I turned into a doll's shawl (and now sarong). I don't have any bottoms that match the shirt that are easy to get to.
Doll: American Girl Saige
Skirts: 1st: papertowel, 2nd, bandana (I think)
