2-9-2015 - Reversible Peplum Top
I have had some Christmassy fabric for quite a while, never knowing what to do with it, but wanting to do something with it. I really like it, but there wasn't enough fabric to make a dress with. While I was flipping through the patterns one day, I realized that there was one pattern that would work -sort of. The Peplum Top by Liberty Jane Clothing has small enough pieces that I could cut out each piece with the fabric. There wasn't quite enough to cut out the waistband, but thankfully I had some white fabric to go with it. I had the pieces cut out for a while before I finally decided to work on it. Once I read the instructions, I realized I needed some more fabric for lining. So I got a fat quarter from Meijer and then got the pieces cut out. I then finished the shirt. The instructions say to only line the bodice and waistband, but I cut out an extra peplum too, to make it reversible. I think it turned out well. :)
