2-20-2015 -Lee & Pearl Slim Skirts Pattern Test
A couple days ago, I received an email from Lee & Pearl, asking if I'd like to test a pattern for them. After considering it for a while (trying to figure out if I could have the two skirts they wanted made before Friday (today), as we wouldn't be home most of Thursday), I said yes, if they needed more testers, I'd love to. And I got in as a tester! I was, and still am, excited that I got to test a Lee & Pearl pattern (Lee & Pearl , All Dolled Up Doll Clothes, and Pixie Faire are my three very favorite places to look for doll patterns.)! :D Anyway, I had the denim skirt mostly finished Wednesday night, and then finished it Thursday night, after we returned home. The pencil skirt I sewed up Friday afternoon. I love the way they turned out, want to see?
The Denim Skirt
The denim skirt was upcycled from an old pair of jeans. The lining for the pockets and waistband is the same blue and white floral fabric that I used for the top of the back pockets. I accidentally cut out two strips for the belt loops, so one strip became her headband, using the same stitching as the topstiching on the back pockets for decoration.
The Pencil Skirt
The Pencil Skirt was upcycled from a pair of my dad's old shorts. The lining for the waistband is a speckled grey fabric.
