10-14-13 ~Resizing a coat
This coat was originally for the My Twinn dolls, but as I'm downsizing my My Twinn Collection (by almost all of my Twinns, the only one I'm having a hard time deciding yay or nay on is Tara, pictured in the Before pic), and since I LOVE this coat, I wanted to fix it so my American Girl dolls can wear it easily.
To make it work for the American girl dolls, I took a little fabric from a little above the elbow and stitched it to the shoulder. I then gathered the shoulders to make them smaller, and then I ran a gathering stitch just under the collar to shorten the shoulders a bit more. I also stitched the collar down a little bit to hide the gathering under the collar. And now it fits. :D
Dolls: My Twinn Tara (Lenora mold) with a Webkinz Panda bear, American Girl Kirsten
Clothing: Tara: My Twinn khaki pants & black/white shoes,
Kirsten: Battat white tank top, American Girl Flutter Flower outfit skirt, and American Girl Pretty and Plaid outfit boots.
