Finally upgraded the Sewing and Crafts section again. I categorized the projects by month and year, to make it easier to navigate. I added projects (pictured above) to 2014, and a couple new entries on the Ongoing Project page. Hope you enjoy looking through my pictures!
This time from Target's Dollar section. More pictures of these items can be found here.
I updated the Meet the Girls page. The changes are in the first paragraph(s), plus the line for the Monster High addition.
Also, I added a new page featuring my family's pets. It can be found through the About NatureFairy page, or through here: CATS! First, meet Abigail Caitlin, or Abi, as I'm going to call her for the most part. She came all the way from Hawaii, and arrived yesterday! :D I already have pictures taken, and hope to have a picture story up soon to celebrate her arrival. Next, I know I still need to get some of the older picture stories uploaded, plus Abi's, but I really want to get all my dolls changed for their Costume Fashion Show before Halloween. And then I'll need to start getting them all changed for the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. And I really haven't done any sewing in a while beyond mending a couple of dolly things. The new kitties and regular chores are taking up time, plus I tend to get sidetracked online (which irritates me, but it always happens. . .) Oh well. . . Anyway, it's late again, so I should get off the computer and get some sleep, so I can hopefully get up early-ish. Night!
I have a new page up in the crafty section. It'll tell you a bit about the AG I think of as most special in my collection. You can click on the picture above to go see.
Group Project, part two is done. I probably should have uploaded the picture stories that I already have pictures for, but I'm hoping to have all of my American Girl and Magic Attic (and the rest of my 18" dolls) dressed for Halloween before holloween. Another picture story should finish my stuffed 18" dolls, then probably two for my slim 18" dolls.
Note: these approximates are if I keep doing 5-6 dolls per story. Okay, so I have finally completed the Picture Stories that I had up. And although the New Clothes story was done in the 'before' style (and I don't plan on re-doing it), I've decided I like the slideshow story style better, so that is how The BFF's snow day and Group Project part 1 are done. I do have some other picture stories in planning (in other words, I already have the pictures taken), and another in the works (in other words, pictures not taken, but the basic story is already planned). I don't know when I'll get them up though. I hope you enjoy the stories!
Okay, now to explain why the last few posts, though the title dates them as being from last month, where posted today. I forgot to update the blog. . . And, I've not been doing a lot of crafty things lately. . . I've been trying to sell some of my dolls (not my AG girls) and I've let that take up too much of my time. Also, we had some hopefully temporary additions to the household, sort of. . . As you can see, they are four-legged and furry. And very, very sweet. And though I'll miss them when they are gone, I've been trying to help find them a home where they can be inside kitties. They showed up one day, and we have no idea where they came from. We can't keep them, sadly... Anyway, on the page for the Customizable Purse, I mentioned that Ayame was distractedly displeased that Aimi had taken the purse. Well, after selling some of my dolls (still have more to go) I found a Stitch plush on eBay (guess what?! He came from Hawaii! :D) and I bought him. He arrived yesterday, and Ayame claimed him. Although, I think Sonali wants to be Lilo for Halloween (no, I don't celebrate Halloween, but I do enjoy dressing my dolls up in costumes I don't normally dress them in other times of the year) and if so, she wants to use Stitch to complete the outfit (which I still have to figure out wrist and ankle bands for). Isn't he adorable? :D He got here in three days! I was so excited when I opened the box he arrived in. Oh, you want to see the rest of Ayame too? Ok! :D There's Stitch again! :) Anyway, the dress, tights, and shoes are some of the other things I bought from my mom, and Yoshi (also adorable) I got last year from Target. Isn't Ayame just so cute in this outfit? She really likes it.
So I'm trying to get back into crafting and sewing. I used to do a bit of beading, drawing, and thinking about sewing, but I've had a hard time getting back to it since we moved... Anyway, I'm going to try to do at least one crafty thing a day. Yesterday's item was actually two items. Two different halter tops, and at least one can double as a skirt. :D Today's item is I fixed a pair of American Girl sandals. As I craft/sew things I want to create a sort of online journal cataloging my progress with one page in the Sewing & Craft Projects directory dedicated to whatever it is I do, plus a blog entry on my blog here.
As of right now, my sewing skills are pretty much non-existent, so my creations probably won't be the best (plus I'm using old thread that my old sewing machine likes to spit up :( ), but I'm going to try anyway. I also want to eventually have a list of all of the dolls I've collected in the Meet the Girls directory. So far I have my LeeAnn, Ginger Brook Hollow, Magic Attic, and American Girl dolls posted. I still need to finish putting up pictures of my Carpatina Ana Ming, Battat, Gotz Kimberly, My Twinns, and then I need to finish putting up the descriptions for all of them. I also want to have a few more pictures and maybe some stories of some sort for my AGs and MACs (they are my favorites, and the ones I do the most with). Oops, I guess I got a little long winded. . . hehe. . . Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy reading and following along, should you choose too. Whether you do or not, I hope you enjoy looking around! Thanks for visiting! :D |
